Welcome to CSTAR Animal Care's Spay Our Strays Clinic
The winter is here and predicted to be active with above-average snowfalls. Unfortunately, dangerous driving conditions from snow and ice can impact our clinic schedule. Click here or scroll to the bottom for more information about what to do when hazardous weather conditions are in the forecast for the weekend of the next clinic.
The clinic is still being held as planned on Sunday, February 15th. We do not anticipate enough snow accumulation to prevent us from having the clinic.

Please use extreme caution when driving to your clinic appointment. In the morning, if you are not comfortable driving to the clinic, leave us a message on the appointment line, and we will return your call next week to reschedule you to one of our upcoming clinics. Any deposit that you paid will be transferred and applied to the rescheduled appointment.
PLEASE REMEMBER, it is extremely important to check our website or appointment line voicemail message at (856) 208-7729 on the night before AND on the morning of the clinic for updates concerning the status of the clinic in case the weather becomes worse that night or the next morning.

Winter Weather Warnings And Clinic Status
As of now, we do not anticipate any weather-related conditions preventing us from holding our next clinic as planned.

Be sure to check for updates BEFORE trapping stray and feral cats. See below for more information concerning trapping stray and ferals cats when there is a possiblity of the clinic being postponed or canceled due to bad weather.
It's possible that the weather conditions may be safe near the clinic location, but still be unsafe in your area. Please check the road conditions in your area before you leave for the clinic. If driving conditions are hazardous in your area, but the clinic has not been postponed or canceled, leave us a message on the appointment line and we'll call you the following week to reschedule your appointment. You will not lose your deposit if you reschedule; it will be applied to the rescheduled appointment.
These are the websites we are using to monitor predicted weather conditions:
If predictions change, we will update this posting accordingly. Again, we ask that you check the website or appointment line voicemail message the night before and the morning of the clinic to ensure that you are aware of any changes in the clinic's status due to bad weather. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we cope with the unpredictability of winter weather.
**Feral and Stray Cats - Please, do not release a trapped cat before it is fixed!
If there is a possibility that the clinic will be postponed or canceled due to bad weather, or that the driving conditions in your area will be too severe to drive to the clinic safely, and you have NOT already trapped any cats, hold off on trapping until the night before the clinic. Check the website or listen to the appointment line voicemail for clinic status updates, and check the weather reports for your area before trapping. Do not trap if the clinic is postponed or canceled, or if the weather will create unsafe driving conditions in your area.
If you already trapped any feral and/or stray cats for this clinic, and the clinic has to be postponed or canceled last minute due to bad weather, DO NOT RELEASE THE CATS! Call us as soon as possible, and we can try to help you work out a way to get them fixed with us or another clinic as soon as possible.
If the clinic is postponed or canceled and you can't house the feral and/or stray cats that you already trapped until the next available clinic appointment, please talk to family, friends, neighbors, etc. and try to find somewhere for the cats to be safely sheltered until the next clinic. You do not want to be in a position where you have to release a cat that you have trapped before the cat is fixed. It is VERY difficult to get a cat that has been trapped once back into a trap. So, please ensure that you have somewhere safe and warm, indoors, that the cats can be sheltered and cared for until the rescheduled spay/neuter surgery appointments BEFORE you trap the cats.
If any major changes happen in the weather last minute and we have to postpone the clinic, the new date will be next Sunday, February 16th. Unfortunately, there is talk of snowstorms in the forecast for next week as well, which is one reason we are really pushing to hold the clinic on February 9th.
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the 9th, and then is bad again on the 16th, we will not have a February clinic and will just move forward with our March 9th clinic. If you have already trapped ferals and strays, call us and we can work out a way for you to get them fixed without waiting until March 9th.
If you are scheduled for the February 9th clinic and the clinic is postponed last minute, our volunteers will be in touch to reschedule you for either February 16th or March 9th. Your appointment time will remain the same and the deposit you paid will transfer to the clinic you choose. Please do not call us to reschedule if the clinic is postponed. Volunteers will be making rescheduling calls over the weekend through the beginning of next week. We will have a lot of calls to make, and we appreciate your patience. If you do not get a call by next Wednesday regarding rescheduling, then please call us at (856) 208-7729. Otherwise, please wait for us to call you to reschedule.
If conditions are bad first thing in the morning when you were planning on leaving for your scheduled appointment time, but the conditions improve, you may come later than your originally scheduled appointment time. Please arrive no later than 11:30am on Sunday February 9th. You must arrive by 11:30am to ensure enough time for your cat to undergo anesthesia and surgery.
If conditions in your area don't improve, but the clinic is still scheduled for February 9th, please don't come to the clinic. We want everyone to be safe. Just call us and leave us a message, and we'll call you toward the end of next week to reschedule you to the March 9th clinic.
